Today 4JT began to look at poetry. The first type of poetry we’ll be looking at is the Japanese Haiku, which follows a strict structure of a 5 syllable line, followed by a 7 syllable line, followed by another 5 syllable line.
Haikus are generally written about natural things and are expressed through the senses. You also have to be careful to make each line its own complete phrase (no overlapping)
Let us know what you think of our poem about the snow. Can you make up your own Haiku?
